I may not be the first to invent this meme, but I thought of it earlier in the week. I forget the context, but I heard the name Steve, and for whatever reason, my brain filled in the pause that followed with the rest of a particular song lyric. It seemed like the obvious thing to do, and it made me wonder whether many songs are so easily identifiable from the very first word.

Probably not. But some well-known songs probably donapos;t take more than a couple of words, so hereapos;s a lyrical musical meme with a difference, since I havenapos;t done one in ages and they seem to be popular. Fill in the rest of the opening lyric, and name the song and artist. Bonus points if you name one a different one to what I had in mind. Theyapos;re all pretty well-known songs by big-name bands, nothing too obscure or this wouldnapos;t work. Googling is obviously cheating, comments are screened.

(This is probably as much an exercise for me to pick suitable songs and numbers of words, than for you to recognise them. I might suck at this, and might give extra words if some are widely declared impossible or too ambiguous.)

Once again, I�have had a successful day�I ate my breakfast this morning which was 80 calories, then I�skipped my lunch of rice cakes and cheese at lunch and had two crisps lol. It was this guy, and he had doritos hah. I�have just finished for the day, with about 210 calories, so Iapos;m just under. Iapos;m feeling kinda full though which is weird and it sucks. :[ I�might just chill this evening, do a bit of work and then watch the tv. My plans for tomorow are shopping a bit and then the gym. For Sunday it is just the gym. Gosh, arenapos;t I�social? ...
